Our office believes in educating the community about dental health. We make many attempts to be in the community to help increase the overall awareness and knowledge about dentistry. On this page, you will find photos of places we visit to give back our knowledge to the community.

Some of our recent community involvement events include the following:

St. Mary's Elementary School - Oral Health Day (July 2013)

Our hygienists, Nancy and Nicole, took the opportunity to entertain while educating proper brushing technique and oral hygiene instructions at St. Mary's Elementary School.

The Color Run, Lansing, MI (July 2013)

Some of the ladies from our office took some time out to have some fun (and be healthy) at The Color Run, Lansing, MI!!! We went, we ran & we got REALLY COLORFUL!!!

Office Open House (May 2013)

Our office held an open house to officially welcome Dr. Renée Owen to the Charlotte community.  Patients, community members, family and friends joined in the food, the fun, and the giveaways.  It was a great social event for our team!

Hayes Green Beach's Health Fair and Festival at AL!VE (March 2012)

Dr. Owen and two of our team members volunteered at the annual health fair held at ALIVE this year.  Our station was titled "Check Your Dental Plaque" and located in "Grow", the childen's recreation area.  Using a special removable dye that temporarily stains dental plaque, children were able to see the typically invisible plaque that surrounds their teeth each day and learn toothbrushing and flossing tips to aid in its removal.

Downtown Trick-Or-Treating in Charlotte (October 2012)

Each year our dental team hands out free cider and doughnuts to the crowd as costume wearing children seek candy from local businesses. The tooth fairy is on hand to give out free toothbrushes and helps remind the children to brush and floss each night before bed. This is a great event to help remind parents to take care of their children's teeth, especially after consuming a lot of candy.
